Jazz-trained, live-driven. Moving freely between genres across Switzerland and Europe.

Tim Bond is a Swiss pianist and keyboardist based in Zurich. Rooted in jazz but active across a wide range of contemporary music, his work spans jazz, pop, hip-hop, electronic music and beyond. Coming from a musical family, he began playing piano at three and drums at six, later developing a strong interest in production and recording — and completed his Master's in Jazz Piano at the Zurich University of the Arts in 2022.
Jazz remains at the heart of Tim's musical identity. With the band muralim, he has performed throughout Switzerland and Germany, and the group received the Montreux Jazz Festival Residency Award in 2023. His work has also brought him together with musicians such as Mike McGoldrick, Tim Edey and Jürg Morgenthaler — a musical approach shaped by improvisation and an openness to different traditions and styles.
Alongside his jazz work, Tim has established himself as a versatile live and studio musician across genres, playing and working with artists including Nickless, Priya Ragu, Naomi Lareine, L Loko & Drini, Cachita, EAZ, Chiara Castelli and Alina Amuri.
He has performed in more than 30 cities across Switzerland and Europe — including Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, Prague, Cologne, Leipzig and Dresden — with festival appearances at Montreux Jazz Festival, Paléo Festival, Openair Frauenfeld, Openair St. Gallen, Zürich Openair and Openair Gampel. He has also performed for broadcasters including SRF, ZDF, Radio Swiss Jazz and Bayerischer Rundfunk.
As a recording musician, Tim has worked in studios across Switzerland and abroad, including Powerplay Studios and Hardstudios in Zurich, TPot Studios in Scotland and Lightship 95 in London. He has also collaborated over the years with his father, Swiss musician and songwriter Andrew Bond, both in the studio and on stage — including a shared performance at Zurich's Hallenstadion in 2023.
Whether on stage or in the studio, Tim's work is shaped by a strong jazz background, an improvisational approach, and a curiosity that continues to take him into new musical settings.
